Date: February 16, 2024
Topic: Access to Health Care Services
Session Leaders: Joan Asseff, LCSW-S, Steve Hicks School of Social Work and Veronica Young, PharmD, MPH, Center for Health IPE
HIPE Day is held twice a year: in fall and in spring. It is a 3-hour in-person session that faculty choose to integrate into their curriculum for credit.
HIPE Day convenes students from 9 health programs to learn the necessary foundational knowledge to be effective on a heath care team. To optimize active engagement, students are placed in interprofessional teams, each facilitated by a faculty, practitioner, or skilled advanced learner from health professions programs.
