Community Engagement

One of our goals is to cultivate a collaborative health care culture by engaging with campus and community partners to devlop innovative curricula, tools, and strategies that integrate IPE principles into practice and education. We look forward to forging new partnerships with community members and agencies to advance collaborative health care practice and person-centered care. A few ways we promote health IPE in the community includes: 
  • National trainings to help interprofessional faculty and practitioner teams to design and implement health care-focused projects
  • Curated workshops and trainings to advance teamwork skills at your site. Click here to learn more. 
  • Continuing education for health care professionals and educators focused on opioid use disorder and harm reduction. CEUs available. 
  • A series of webinars and a grant opportunities focused on interprofessional acute care for patients with opioid use disorder through Substance Hospital Opioid Use Disorder Treatment (SHOUT) program
  • Providing online educational resources pertaining to health IPE
  • Promoting educational events that advance collaborative practice
  • Convening stakeholders to have productive discourse about advancing health IPE
