Community Engagement

One of our goals is to cultivate a collaborative health care culture by engaging with campus and community partners to devlop innovative curricula, tools, and strategies that integrate IPE principles into practice and education. We look forward to forging new partnerships with community members and agencies to advance collaborative health care practice and person-centered care. A few ways we promote health IPE in the community includes:
  • National trainings to help interprofessional faculty and practitioner teams to design and implement health care-focused projects
  • Curated workshops and trainings to advance teamwork skills at your site. Click here to learn more.
  • Continuing education for health care professionals and educators focused on opioid use disorder and harm reduction. CEUs available.
  • Promoting educational events that advance collaborative practice
  • Convening stakeholders to have productive discourse about advancing health IPE
  • Consulting with health programs on compliance with IPE-focused accreditation standards; contact us to learn more
  • Serving Texans in need of health care at a free, student-run clinic
  • Conducting health screenings to underserved Texans
