In service of this vision, we're excited to bring the national T3 Interprofessional Team Development Program (T3 ITDP) to UT Austin. Our next training will be held from May 23-26, 2022 via an online format. Continuing education credits for many professions are available through our partnership with the National Center for IPE. UT Austin's Humanities Institute will host its final Health Humanities Research Seminar of the semester on 5/2/22 from 4:00 - 5:30 and will feature Dr. Alan Schalscha and Dr. Nicholas Yagoda, health care leaders who are at the center of attempts to address longstanding health and healthcare inequities in Central Texas. This event will be held on campus; a reception will follow.

The Center for Health Interprofessional Practice and Education (CHIPE) will host its 4th Annual Interprofessional Health Showcase on April 29, 2022 to celebrate students’ and residents’ contributions to advancing person-centered and/or population health through research, quality improvement, and community engagement projects.

This engaging, experiential course provides an overview of the role of the IPE faculty facilitator, plus provides opportunities for practice using a wide range of tools and techniques. Approximately 6 hrs of online pre-work must be completed at least 5 days prior to the full day virtual training, which is 4/8/22 via Zoom.

A student team from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy partnered with the Sickle Cell Association of Texas to develop an interprofessional event for health professions students to explore sickle cell emergencies from the patient’s perspective and how to better support individuals with this debilitating condition from an interprofessional lens. This will be a highly interactive session and there will be an invited guest from the community as our guest speaker. This session is appropriate for all health professions learners. Faculty, clinician educators and students from other professions are welcome to attend. Attendance is free. RSVP to receive the Zoom link.
