Health IPE Microcredential Program
The University of Texas at Austin offers quality microcredential programs. A microcredential is a portable, verifiable digital badge that proves you’ve developed specific workplace skills. Each badge includes a unique URL to your official record, making it easy to share on your resumé, curriculum vitae, or platforms like LinkedIn. For students, microcredentials complement your transcript and showcase your competencies to employers and program directors, enhancing your professional development and career competitiveness. Benefits include:
- Focused skill development: Microcredentials target specific skills and/or knowledge areas making learning relevant to job markets and career goals.
- Stackable learning: Learners combine digital badges and add to their degrees, creating a more comprehensive skill set.
- Enhanced employability: Employers value microcredentials as evidence of specific competencies, making candidates more attractive.

Team Leadership and Facilitation
Developing effective facilitation and leadership skills is crucial for fostering productive team discussions and leading change. Badge earners will gain experience in guiding and leading an interprofessional team to create a community intervention plan using an evidence-based improvement model to tackle a community health issue. Participants will apply various facilitation techniques to lead and engage their team members. This training lays the groundwork for learners to further develop their interprofessional team facilitation and leadership skills in their own practice.
