AUSTIN, Texas — The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) recently acknowledged The University of Texas at Austin’s efforts to transform health and health care by bestowing the university with 2018’s Innovations in Professional Nursing Education Award in recognition for its work in Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE).
At the 2018 Nexus Summit hosted by the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education, the Texas Interprofessional Education (IPE) Consortium received Honorable Mention for the 2018 George E. Thibault, MD Nexus Award. The award recognizes significant contributions to the Nexus through the alignment of interprofessional practice and education to improve health.
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas at Austin continues its outstanding leadership in interprofessional education. The Center for Health Interprofessional Practice and Education (Center for Health IPE) was launched with approval and start-up funds from the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. The Center for Health IPE joins other state and national IPE centers to prepare health professionals with the expertise to become collaborative health care leaders advancing person-centered care and collaborative practice.
