Dell Medical School's Addiction Medicine Interest Group (AMIG) and Making Equity Standard in Healthcare (MESH) student organization are collaborating to host this year's Operation Naloxone training. All faculty, staff, students, and community members are invited to get trained on opioid harm reduction by Dr. Lucas Hill, Clinical Assistant Professor with the College of Pharmacy and Center for Health IPE Fellow. Naloxone is a life-saving, injectable overdose medication that can be administered by bystanders to resuscitate individuals in emergency situations. This is a practical, hands-on way to help combat the opioid crisis and be a more prepared health care provider. This training is free and pizza will be available.
