Health Interprofessional Practice and Education (HIPE) Day in a gray circle with burnt orange letters

Fall HIPE Day will be held on September 25, 2026. It is an in-person, 3-hour session that convenes learners across 9 health professions programs at UT, in addition to clinical pastoral education residents from Ascension Seton. The Fall HIPE Day session focuses on Teamwork Strategies and Tools in Health Care practice. The session is led by Dan Richards, MD, and Veronica Young, PharmD, MPH, HIPE Center and College of Pharmacy.

Community Health Intervention Planning Simulation

The CHIP Simulation is a virtual learning experience where advanced-level learners facilitate interprofessional teams of participants who collaborate on a 6-step improvement process focusing on community intervention to target a pervasive community health issue, in this case, adolescent vaping. The intended audience includes all learners who have an interest in health care and public health (students, residents, faculty, practitioners, staff), as well as community members.

TeamSync: Stroke Team Simulation for Transitions of Care is a virtual simulation in which teams of advanced-level students from different health professions work together to coordinate care and develop a discharge plan for a patient who has experienced a stroke. This simulation is led by the HIPE Center and was developed by a task force representing 5 professions with consultation from an expert panel representing 9 professions.
