Interprofessional Health Showcase 2021

Welcome to the Center for Health Interprofessional Practice and Education’s (CHIPE’s) 3rd Annual Interprofessional Health Showcase page! Our most recent showcase was held on April 30, 2021. At this virtual event, we were honored to provide a forum to present the amazing work of our students and residents who submitted a total of 80 health-related projects. Last year due to the COVID-19 lock-down, this showcase was abruptly converted to an asynchronous, virtual platform. We recognize how important it is for us to gather, interact, and learn with, from, and about each other. Therefore, we were very pleased to have provided synchronous components to this year's event.
Over 300 participants attended the 2 finalist oral poster presentation sessions, as well as the general poster-viewing sessions where authors were present to discuss their work. You may read about our award winners and finalists here, including the authors who received the top 3 votes for the People's Choice Award.
Thank you to BCBS of Texas for sponsoring this event. We truly appreciate their commitment to health care education. Please join me in recognizing the many faculty and staff who volunteered to review abstracts, judge posters, and host synchronous sessions. This event, like all IPE work, relies on the collaborative efforts of colleagues across programs and professions. I would also like to acknowledge the hard work of our students, residents, and their faculty advisors who continued to excel and innovate, despite the challenges brought forth by the ongoing pandemic and winter storm. I would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the many community partners who are integral to the amazing work we were privileged to showcase and celebrate.
We hope to see you at our next Interprofessional Health Showcase which will be held on April 29, 2022.
Take care and be well,
Veronica Young, PharmD, MPH, FNAP
Director, CHIPE
